Drive Around Lake Tahoe
This week on G+ I'm uploading photos from my trip to Lake Tahoe during the winter of 2011. Some are old (and seen here on this blog already) and some are new (like the one above).
It seems like I'm spending more and more time on G+ now. I managed to convince a friend to try it out. He's a way better photographer than I am and deserves his work to be seen by thousands as well :)
I'm also pretty excited about several of the photowalks planned for Saturday. I'm hoping I can get out of a social obligation early and actually attend one of them.
That's all for now. My current photography project is self-portraits and it's turning out to be a disaster. If I get a good one, I'll share here.

Berries
I'm so glad my favorite Los Angeles botanical garden (there are a few in LA) happens to be less than 3 miles away from where I live. I'm not big on shooting flowers (and sunsets) ever since my first photography teacher banned us from taking those kinds of shots, but I go because of the stream and the TURTLES that inhabit it (along with the koi fish). However, I never can get a decent shot of the them. Oh well. There's always a next time.

Travertine at the Getty Center
I had to look up that the Getty Center's walls are made of travertine limestone imported from Italy. I probably would have known that had I gone on the architectural tour I was assigned to go on the day I took this shot. Instead, I was shooting models (as seen on my flickr page).
Anyway, I'm looking at the backlog of images I have for this site and am amazed that I've gotten out of sync in the opposite direction (with G+ having the newer images). Don't worry -- this will always be my primary site. I just need a couple days to match up again.

Another View of the Getty Center
Someone requested this photo in light of yesterday's horribly overexposed shot. Please pardon the reflection and flare (it was in the middle of the day and I had no lens hood!)
Yesterday, I found out I'll be doing maternity photography and baby photography later this year. Hopefully, I can remember to get the releases to share them here. :)

The Getty Center
I shot this at the Getty Center in midday light several years ago. I am trying out new processing techniques on older photos and thought I could save this overexposed shot. Oh well. I'm also trying out posting in the day time now (instead of right before bed), so that I can actually interact with people who view my work. Let's see how this experiment goes. :)

Rafters at the Getty Center
I took this a few years ago on my first ever photo walk (which happened to be at the Getty Center -- when parking used to only be $8!)
Anyway, I've been pretty busy doing graduation portraits lately. I, unfortunately got blurry or bad pictures of the famous people I had intended on shooting this weekend. Oh well. At least the graduation photos are getting awesome feedback. You win some; you lose some.

Cuatro (IV) Centenario De La Expedicion Maritima Mexico Filipinas
It's weird. When I was looking up info about what this landmark was, I kept seeing almost a reversed image of my photograph. I guess I took the picture from behind when I was going through Intramuros (in the Philippines) in 2011.

Coffee at Central Park
I can't remember if I've ever posted this picture here; so, here goes! It's my favorite Starbucks drink (Grande, Caramel Macchiato) above the famous skating rink in Central Park (NYC) a few years ago. I was using it as a stand-in for a portrait I did immediately after this shot. (Not the greatest idea -- I know -- but it did help with composition and framing).
I also know that I've been away from here for some time now, but I'm almost done syncing up my blog and G+. Today mark's the 3-month anniversary of my page on G+! :)
I will continue to post sporadically over the next few weeks, as my personal life is still pretty hectic right now. Hopefully, I can start showing pictures of what's been keeping me away by next weekend (:::crosses fingers:::)!
Hint: It will include pictures of someone famous!

San Miguel Beer
I've got a long night ahead of me so I thought I'd just post this right now.
I was pleasantly surprised to discover that BevMo carries San Miguel beers (for about $1 a bottle -- not bad considering what you'd pay in tourist areas in the Philippines).
I was going though my archives actually looking for a different type of photo (something showing festivals in the Philippines) but realized that sifting though years and years of archives is really difficult when my tags are not really that detailed. I've got to come up with a better system and find someone to tag my thousands of photos. ;)
