Travel: Philippines - On the Fence (& Bokeh)
There was a TV show setting up directly across the street from my family compound in the Philippines. I wanted to sneak a peak and grab a shot before the crowds started coming, so, I stood up on a chair to see over the front wall, and aimed my camera between the security bars on top of the wall. I didn't realize I was focusing on the bars instead of the scene behind them when I snapped this. While editing, I almost threw this shot out, but then I realized I had bokeh! I'm not one of those bokeh fanatics that purposely go out (at night) in hopes of getting blurred highlights or anything. But I thought the single, perfectly round highlight could balance out the single bar in focus. Not sure. I hate being on the fence about shots. :(
