We spent a very warm Christmas in San Diego this year. We tried going to the beach in the middle of the day, but after feeling how hot it was and because no one brought any sunscreen, we opted to return at sunset (which isn't a problem since we live nearby). It was wonderful strolling all the way down to the estuary (where the
polluted Tijuana River meets the Pacific Ocean). I was able to get a few shots of my dad as we walked around on the sand. It is interesting to note that we were so far south that all our phones triggered international roaming rates, despite remaining north of the Mexican border.
